This mother of four spends her days wrangling a toddler, helping kids with homework, preparing endless snacks, and taking her kids to after school activities. By day she is a stay-at-home mom, and by night (and weekends) she is a Placenta Encapsulation Specialist and Postpartum Doula. Super hero? Super mom? If you asked her she would just say that she is your average mom who survives on caffeine and has no idea where the stain on her shirt came from.
Liz's interest in the placenta first sparked after the birth of her first child. After the placenta was delivered, it was immediately taken to the lab without her knowledge and she was very disappointed that she didn't even get to see it! After this and during her pregnancy with her second, she started researching and absorbing as much knowledge as possible about the placenta. When she started looking for a placenta encapsulation specialist in her area, options were very limited. Because of her Biochemistry background (Bachelors degree in Biochemistry) and her drive to help others, Liz felt like Placenta Encapsulation was a perfect fit!
During her spare time, Liz volunteers for Quad City Babywearing. She also loves Yoga, cooking, and all things pregnancy, birth, and parenthood.
